(SOLD OUT) 2009 Nadja's Vineyard Riesling
The 2009 Nadjas Vineyard Riesling was hand picked on the 18th of October from our southern block of Riesling (named after Ed’s mother), and after hand sorting, it was gently whole bunch pressed to retain the flavours of the fruit. The juice was settled for 3 days, and the clear juice was then fermented with our selected yeast strain for this wine. A very slow, cool fermentation followed and on Christmas Day the wine reached the optimum sugar and acid balance for the Nadjas style, and fermentation was stopped. After settling and stabilisation, the wine was gently filtered, and bottled in April 2010.
The Nadjas Riesling involves an absolute minimum of winemaker influence, and is a true representation of the unique flavours of the vineyard from which it is grown.
