2011 Pinot Noir
The 2011 Estate Pinot Noir is a wine that exemplifies our approach to viticulture & winemaking, year after year. All fruit is sourced from a mixture of our seven unique parcels in the vineyard, which are further subdivided by harvest date, fermentation vessel & barrel selections. The 2011 season proved challenging due to late season rains but it was the careful selection during harvest and gentle winemaking that lifts this wine to a superior expression of our vines.
Star-bright cherry-coloured wine with an elegant, nuanced nose that is gently floral with lots of cherry, beet and hints of earth and spice. The palate is intense with flavours of cherry, red currant and a savoury long finish. The tannins are well-structured and very conducive to food pairing.
