We've been touting for about the past five years that Ontario Chardonnays rock...and finally the industry is starting to get some international exposure, thanks in part to Bill Redelmeier of Southbrook Vineyards. Bill has been working furiously to organize a tasting of some of Ontario's best Chardonnays to be tasted at Canada House in London the day before the start of the 2010 London Wine Trade fair at Excel in May. Two of Flat Rock Cellars' Chardonnays will be featured in this tasting: 2007 Reserve Chardonnay (winner of the Best White and Best Chardonnay at the 2010 Cuvee Wine Awards) and 2008 The Rusty Shed Chardonnay. Weekend Workshop: Untwist Twisted - A Unique Blending Session.
Twisted has become one of our most popular wines, and it's for good reason. This blend of Riesling, Gewurztraminer and Chardonnay is a sure crowd pleaser. Taste all of the components of this unique wine separately, then blend them up to make a version of your very own. Taste and compare to our final blend and see if you have what it takes to be a Flat Rock Winemaker!

Prepare yourself for 4 uniquely different, very hands-on, full-day sessions. Four key components - vineyard activities, winery work, lab analysis, and tasting/blending sessions - are featured in each session.
We'll serve up a fantastic lunch each day and you'll walk away with a cool Flat Rock t-shirt in one hand and a snazzy certificate in the other. Most importantly, you'll have had a hardworking, informative and hopefully inspiring day in the winemaker's boots.
We'll provide all the tools you need, you just bring the elbow grease, your sense of adventure and, as always, a sense of humour.
The first session of 2010 is set for March 21, 2010. We'll start at 9am and go until about 5pm.
