Harvest Time at Flat Rock Cellars
Back to ArchiveA Word from Ed
Another harvest is upon us. For most of 2009 it looked like Mother Nature did not want to cooperate with our wishes for a brilliant crop. However, fabulous late summer and early fall weather has us giddy with excitement that this year will be the best vintage ever. All of our hard work in the vineyard this summer has paid off and a healthy crop is awaiting its destiny to become great wine.
As with every fall there are always many things to experience at Flat Rock Cellars. Please take the time to truly immerse yourself in the joys of harvest. It's what truly motivates all of us at Flat Rock Cellars.
Cheers,

Doing our Part

At Flat Rock Cellars we are aware of our social responsibility to give back to the community and have initiated a campaign that involves donating a portion of our retail wine tasting fees to a charity chosen every two months by a staff member at Flat Rock Cellars.
September and October's charity of choice is Family and Children's Services Niagara. A portion of our proceeds will go to support programs including summer camps, post secondary education opportunities and capital enhancements among others. FACS assists children who are among the most disadvantaged in the community facing hardships such as abuse, neglect, family violence and poverty.
